Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all
Proverbs 31:29
The floral motif is repeated on the back cover, where a floral arrangement is heat-debossed in the center. Beautiful gilt-edged pages coordinate with the shimmering sentiment. A pink elastic closure, attached to both the front and back covers, closes the journal covers when not in use. This protects the pages from bending, tearing, or getting damaged while tucked away in a purse or backpack. A pen holder is cleverly integrated into the journal’s spine, with a snug opening that securely holds a pen or pencil. Topstitching along all the edges and seams ensures a quality product.
The journal offers 366 lined pages, each featuring a carefully selected Scripture verse printed at the bottom. A ribbon marker is attached to the spine to mark your page.
The Noble Things Purple Faux Leather Classic Journal with Pen Holder is part of the Noble Things Pink Peony Collection that includes a scented candle in a glass jar, a notebook set, a stainless steel travel tumbler with a reusable straw, a magnet set, a ceramic coffee mug, a spiral journal, a faux leather journal with a pen holder and a gift bag.

Fresh Wind Fresh Fire (Expanded)
$18.99Add to cartThe times are urgent. God is on the move.
Pastor Jim Cymbala believes that Jesus wants to renew his people-to call us back from spiritual dead ends, apathy, and lukewarm religion. Cymbala knows the difference firsthand. Back in the early 1970s, his own church, the Brooklyn Tabernacle, was a struggling congregation of twenty. Then they began to pray, God began to move, and street-hardened lives by the hundreds were changed with the love of Christ. Today, they are nearly ten thousand strong.
This well-loved book shares the story of what happened to this broken-down church in one of America’s toughest neighborhoods points the way to new spiritual vitality in the church and in your own life. Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire shows what the Holy Spirit can do when believers get serious about prayer and the gospel. As this compelling book reveals, God moves in life-changing ways when we set aside our own agendas, take him at his word, and listen for his voice.
In this new edition, Cymbala will update some of the classic stories, including that of his own daughter Chrissy Cymbala Toledo. He will talk about how the church has grown and how God helped the church move from its location on Flatbush Avenue to a larger facility that the growing church couldn’t “afford.” And it is so appropriate that the church meets in a building that was once a theater, as God is dramatically reshaping the life stories of so many people who encounter Christ and the power of the gospel. This message of hope and transformation continues.

Halftime : Moving From Success To Significance (Anniversary)
$22.99Add to cartAre you ready to move into the second half of your life?
Bob Buford believes the second half of your life can be better than the first. Much better. But first, you need time to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life.
In Halftime, Buford focuses on this important time of transition-the time when, as he says, a person moves beyond the first half of the game of life. It’s halftime, a time of revitalization and for catching a new vision for living the second half, the half where life can be lived at its most rewarding. As Buford explains, “My passion is to multiply all that God has given me, and in the process, give it back.”
Features of this newly updated and expanded 20th Anniversary edition include a foreword by Jim Collins, the bestselling author of Good to Great; new questions for reflection or discussion at the end of each chapter; brand new “halftime” stories of men and women enjoying a second half of significance; specific halftime assignments to guide readers into their second-half mission; an essay by Bob on “The Wisdom of Peter Drucker”; a special update from the author on how the halftime movement is growing nationally, and links to outstanding resources.

Starred Review. New York Times columnist Kristof and his wife, WuDunn, a former Times reporter, make a brilliantly argued case for investing in the health and autonomy of women worldwide. More girls have been killed in the last fifty years, precisely because they were girls, than men were killed in all the wars of the twentieth century, they write, detailing the rampant gendercide in the developing world, particularly in India and Pakistan. Far from merely making moral appeals, the authors posit that it is impossible for countries to climb out of poverty if only a fraction of women (9% in Pakistan, for example) participate in the labor force. China’s meteoric rise was due to women’s economic empowerment: 80% of the factory workers in the Guangdong province are female; six of the 10 richest self-made women in the world are Chinese. The authors reveal local women to be the most effective change agents: The best role for Americans… isn’t holding the microphone at the front of the rally but writing the checks, an assertion they contradict in their unnecessary profiles of American volunteers finding compensations for the lack of shopping malls and Netflix movies in making a difference abroad.
