Sacred Secret
$13.99Add to cartHave you ever wondered how a person could just snap, taking their own life in the blink of an eye? Or considered the men and women who throw everything away in their lives that’s good, choosing rather to follow their addictions into anarchy and misery? What is the value of a life in today’s world?
The answers to these questions cannot be found in any office, nor are they provided through experience or old age. They cannot be bought for any price, and you certainly can’t learn about them in a classroom. The only place you will find this truth is from a time and place which exists outside of our three-dimensional world.
Understanding something that’s not fully explainable, and then believing in it, can be very difficult, but these walls of doubt are torn down in “The Sacred Secret.” The Holy Spirit and a much better life are waiting for you. I truly hope you seek this freedom.

Calling Things That Are Not
$4.01Add to cartThe principle of calling things that are not as though they were is the spiritual principle through which everything physical becomes manifest. God created the light by calling for “light” when only darkness was there. Jesus used this same method, calling the lepers clean, and the dead to life, and peace to the storm.
You must call for what you desire. if you want your dog to come, you call the dog, not the cat. You call for what is not there. Whatever you call in the natural will come. Call what does not exist and continue to call until it manifests.

Then came a trial in my life, when I found myself completely empty. The Word I meditated and on which I thought was accomplishing something had no true effect on my life. I got to the place of desperation, and it was in my frustration that God became very real in my life. It was there that He gave me the tools to confront what I did not know, because I was perishing for lack of knowledge.

The church has an image problem. It is widely viewed in the world at large as being outdated, boring, irrelevant and filled with backbiting hypocrites.
How different that picture is to how the Bible talks about the new family that Jesus has gathered. It is a precious bride, a sparkling jewel, a lifeboat for forgiven sinners that is precious and holy; nurturing and warm; filled with truth, friendship and all embracing, forgiving love.
Sam Allberry understands the collision between these two views, and how, even as Christian believers, we can lose sight of how truly wonderful church is and should be, and what a privilege it is to be part of, and to serve.
In this brief accessible but thorough guide to church, Sam outlines what church is and why we need it. And how, when we have got it wrong, we can move closer to what a true church should be.

Lots of people who are involved in Christian ministry (whether paid or unpaid) find themselves having to step back from it. They have not lost their love for Christ, or their desire to serve him. But for one reason or another, they are exhausted and simply cannot carry on.Christopher Ash knows this experience all too well. As a pastor of a growing church, and then in his role training people for ministry, he has found himself on the edge of burnout a number of times, and has pastored many younger ministers who have reached the end of their tether.
His wisdom has been distilled into this short, accessible book, in which he reveals a neglected biblical truth and seven keys that flow from it. This practical and biblical guidance will help enthusiastic Christians gain the mindset and lifestyle to protect themselves from burnout and serve Jesus for the long term in a sustainable way.
Who is this book for? Here is Christopher’s answer from the introduction:
“I write for all zealous followers of Jesus. Perhaps especially for pastors and Christian leaders ~ to those entrusted with pastoral oversight under God. Some of us have the privilege of being set free from other jobs to devote ourselves to this work; others combine pastoral leadership with “normal” secular work. But I write also for the many keen Christian men and women who, in addition to “normal” life ~ busy jobs, parenthood, and so on ~ labor sacrificially to serve in their local churches. The young father holding down a pressured job but also teaching the church youth group. The unmarried woman bearing the weight of much responsibility in her workplace, but also heavily involved in pastoral support and care in her church. The older couple whose gifts and skills are in great demand both at work and in church. And many others like them.”Christopher brings to this important subject, not just a personal experience of burnout, but a keen eye to the Bible, and wise pastoral insight into the pressures many of us face as we live for Jesus.
From the foreword by Alistair BeggWhy not read Zeal without Burnout with others so that you can discuss the issues, spot the warning signs and keep each accountable? Our ministry pack is designed to make that easy and affordable to do.

Shattered Prayers : The Testing Of A Fathers Faith
$12.99Add to cartKenneth Ching lived a comfortable life–with a great job, a big house, and an easy faith. He went to church and believed in God’s goodness. But when his son is born with a serious and rare genetic condition, his life is thrown into terrifying chaos.
In this honest and raw memoir, Ching brings to life his experience of letting go while learning to truly trust the Savior he claims to know. Ching doesn’t shy away from asking the hard questions: Why does God answer some prayers but not others? How does prayer work? Is God even listening?
Shattered Prayers is ultimately a story about recognizing God’s presence and faithfulness in the midst of brokenness. And how one man thought God ruined his life by giving his son a terrible disease, but eventually realized God was actually fighting to save his faith and his son’s life.

When You Want To Yell At God
$12.99Add to cart“Experience the book of Job through a different set of eyes. In When You Want to Yell at God, Craig Bartholomew asks us to let go of the Job we think we know so we can get to know the real man. Job’s story refutes the idea that what goes around comes around. Suffering is not always the result of wrong behavior, and right behavior does not always guarantee blessing. But God is always faithful. Looking at Job as the height of biblical poetry, Bartholomew helps us see just how beautiful and touching this man’s struggle with God really is. In the Transformative Word Series, you’ll read the Bible with a global cast of church leaders and scholars. Contributors from around the world write in their native language, and their volumes are then translated and published in multiple languages. In conversational tone, each author explains the importance of a biblical book, showing how it can transform your life.”

Lifelines : A Novel
$17.99Add to cartLife had been going swimmingly until biologist Dr. Robert Fielding was bewildered by a squall that still threatens to shipwreck him. Tormented by the losses in his life, he finds a dozen reasons why he doesn’t need the friendship of his new neighbour, Anna Fawcett. After all, the senior and her disabled son aren’t exactly in his league.
But how is he supposed to turn down fresh cinnamon buns? And Robert hasn’t bargained on his neighbour’s innocent, probing questions. They erode his faith in naturalism and collide with his assumptions about life, love, and truth. Have his foundational beliefs been the cause of his personal losses? As he searches for answers, Anna’s example of loving integrity keeps him coming back. Or maybe it’s her homemade pies. Yet to risk re-thinking his core convictions for a chance at personal peace would expose his soul and tear open an old wound.
Others in the neighbourhood, too, are under Anna’s thrall – a teacher facing a crisis pregnancy, a crusty cat-lady, a cancer-ridden conspiracy theorist, a Cambodian immigrant family. Each is touched by the power of her obscure and ordinary life.

What’s more, these seemingly simple practices grant us access to a host of spiritual blessings that we can only begin to imagine this side of eternity-and the incredible joy that such blessings bring to God’s children today.

Do Ask Do Tell Lets Talk
$9.99Add to cartConversations among friends accomplish more than debates between opponents…
Conversations on controversial issues do not to go well when the dialogue happens community-to-community or figurehead-to-figurehead. Whether it’s race, religion, or politics, groups don’t talk well with groups. Too much is at stake when we feel like our words and actions speak for the collective whole. Platforms and podiums will never accomplish what can only be done around dinner tables and in living rooms.
Two individuals from those respective groups are much more likely to forge a good relationship, influencing one another in various ways. Unfortunately, an individual who listens well is often viewed by his or her collective compatriots as engaging in compromise; at the group level, representing each side fairly feels too much like agreement.
That is why the aim of this book is friendship. Friendship is the level at which influence can be had, because the dialogue does not seek to represent an agenda but to understand a person. Friendship is what protects good points from becoming gotcha moments.
The subject for which this approach may be most vital for the modern church may be homosexuality and same-sex attraction (SSA). Yet our approach has tended to be more polemical or political than pastoral and personal.
Churches have articulated their position on a conservative sexual ethic. Churches have re-examined the key biblical texts that are challenged in defense of a progressive sexual ethic. As important as these things are, however, they do not equip everyday Christians to develop meaningful friendships with people who experience same-sex attraction or have embraced a gay identity.
In the absence of relationship, our theology becomes theory.
Many Christians are seeing that the church’s unwillingness to befriend people who experience SSA has blocked us from engaging with the subject of homosexuality on a person-to-person level. We are reticent to engage relationships where it feels probable that there will be awkwardness.
Admittedly, this book is not as “neat” as you might like for it to be. Many tensions will be navigated; maybe not all contradictions will be avoided. However, when it comes to being salt and light for the sake of the gospel, it seems far better to choose possible messiness over guaranteed ineffectiveness.
That means we must realize that it is good for us to have conversations where we don’t know what to say. This is part of the ess

In Search Of A Fathers Blessing
$16.99Add to cart“There are times when I feel like the title ‘father’ is the worst name God could have given Himself. What a stupid idea, when ‘father’ means rejection in my world.”
-Excerpt from a troubled teen’s letter to Doug StringerBy the late 1980s, God began to give Doug Stringer insight regarding the state of our nation and the daily problems his ministry saw as it reached out to young people struggling with drugs, alcohol, abortion, prostitution, apathy, and other issues. The root and source of all these issues suddenly became clear: America is a nation devoid of fathers, both natural and spiritual. We are an orphaned nation with broken and dysfunctional families, a society of individuals in search of identity. Now, almost thirty years later, we have a “double generation” of fatherlessness-orphaned parents raising orphaned children. Even people with good fathers suffer from the widespread effects that fatherlessness has on our culture and our world.
Doug illustrates the heart of God and gives the reader a clear path to the affirmation, acceptance, and approval of a father. He draws from his own struggle with fatherlessness and the struggle of others to offer insight into the power of God, including:
*The answer to the problem of fatherlessness in our nation
*The importance of spiritual fathers in the church
*How to be a spiritual father
*How to find a spiritual father
*God’s heart for reconciliation between generations
*The power that is unleashed with generations work together
*How to overcome broken trust and learn to trust again. The church is only now awaking to the heart cry of a generation that has been abandoned and left to its own devices. Doug Stringer believes that God is ready to release a multigenerational anointing, calling forth generations of churches and nations to come back to their Abba Father.
